Harper reminds civic
leaders of Ottawa's 'historic' spending efforts
The Prime Minister has told Canada's
municipal leaders that his government was in the middle of an "historic
effort" to revitalize Canada's infrastructure and improve the
quality of life.
Lead concerns prompt tap water tests
A full week before the Ontario Legislature
was found to be contaminated with lead, the Province's Environment
Ministry was already eyeballing a potential problem... and is ordering
36 towns across the Province to
undergo lead testing.
Who pays for lead
contamination?
Toronto isn't the only Canadian
city struggling with lead contamination in it's underwater
infrastructure. The city of London, Ontario, is considering
giving homeowners a hand with the cost of replacing lead water pipes
on their property.
