US Stimulus Stifling Canada
If you have a manufacturer in your
town or city, you should pay close attention. They could be in
line to lose millions, and your area may lose jobs, thanks to harmful
"Made in America" policies south of the border.
Manufacturers across Canada have shockingly discovered that while the US
Government may agree to abide by NAFTA, individual states that receive
US Federal money are under no such rule.
The
consequences to Canadian manufacturers who export to the United States
could be devastating.
Baltimore watermain causes traffic chaos
When a
20 inch cast-iron watermain broke in Baltimore, Maryland, it didn't
just cause a water shortage. 42 square blocks of the city were
shut down, including the National Aquarium, criminal courts, city hall
and several state bureaucracies. At the time we prepared this
article, the watermain has been repaired but the road is still closed.
